Welcome To Gospel Goad
Welcome and thank you for visiting Gospel Goad. My goal is to share Bible facts to be believed, and to ascertain acts to be obeyed, so that we may move forward in our quest to glorify God by living HIS Way (Jn. 14:6; 8:24, 32; Heb. 5:9; Rm. 6:17; 1 Pet. 4:16, 17; Mt. 7:21; Mt. 5:16).
When we chose not to glorify God by kicking against the Gospel Goads, we get two “F’s” on our spiritual report card. The apostle Paul said, "those who refuse to glorify God, and are not living thankfully, have become futile and foolish." We become futile in our thoughts and our foolish hearts are darkened, as long as we neglect the things of God (Rom. 1:21; Heb. 2:3; 3:18-4:15).
To kick against the goads is the hard way (Acts 26:14; Prov. 13:15; Rom. 6:23).
On this site, you will be encouraged to be:
- Guided by the Gospel Goad, the word of God, which is prompting, pointing, pleading for you to save yourselves from sin and this present evil world (Gal. 1:4; Acts 2:40, 41; 8:29-39).
- Steered by the Scriptures (2 Tim. 3:16; 17; Acts 17:11)
- Shown by the Savior (Mt. 11:28-30; Luke 6:46, 48).
- Directed by the doctrine of the Lord (Acts 2:42; 1 Tim. 6:3-5; Titus 2:10; 2 Jn. 1:9).
- Conducted carefully home by the Christ (Jn. 14:6; Jn. 6:63, 68).
- Pointed by the Pilot of souls; the Prince of Peace (Mt. 7:13, 14; Rom. 5:1; Eph. 2:14-17).
- Led by the Lord to Liberty (Jn. 8:32; Jm. 1:25; 2:12).
- Funneled by the faith to freedom from sin (Acts 2:38; 6:7; 15:9; 26:18).
- Escorted to eternity by angels (Lk. 16:22).
Oh, yes, you can have it another way.
You can:
- Kick against the King of Kings
- Lash out against the Lord of Lords
- Push away from the One who pardons from sin
- Strike out against the Savior
- Abandon the Authority of the Almighty
- Reject the Redemption paid for by blood
- Be carnal, unspiritual, unreasonable and unthankful
- Kick! Kick! And Kick
But if you choose the way of:
- Rebellion and Resistance
- Rejection and Refusal
- Insubordination and Disobedience
- Iniquity and Idolatry
- Neglect and Apathy
- Stubbornness or Some other such ways
- Cain (Gen. 4:6-13)
- People of Noah’s day (Gen. 6:5, 7)
- Tower of Babel builders (Gen. 11:8)
- Sodom and Gommorah (Gen. 18:20; 21, 19:15, 24-26)
- Nabab and Abihu (Lev. 10:1-3)
- King Saul (1 Samuel 15:22-24)
- The rebellious and disobedient nation of Israel. (Isa. 1:3, 4)
- Those who practice sin (Gal. 5:19-21; 1 Cor. 6:9, 10)
Hearing God’s invitation, responding to it, and making life changing spiritual applications will always be relevant and important. I want to encourage you in that direction.
We all need a nudge, a goad, or prod in the right direction. HERE IT IS!
